Oh the joys of night shift...

Don't get me wrong, I love being a nurse, but sometimes I really don't love the hours that come with it. Being married makes it even worse. I have only seen Chance for a half hour in the past 48 hours, and wont see him again till before the BYU game tommorrow (Go Cougars!). Our schedules are the exact opposite so when I get home he's already left for work and when I go to work he's on his way home. But for those of you who are wondering how my first night went, it went well. Alot of cute babies and the mothers were great too! I gave my first shot to a newborn, the Hepatitis B vaccine. I had my hand ready to poke but it took a second or two of convincing myself before I could follow through. It made me sad to know that I had just made the poor baby cry. :( Everything other than that was good and I think I'm going to enjoy my work. The people were really and welcoming too.
Chance, even if you don't read this, I miss you when you are away. You are the best part of me and I love you so much. Thanks for the wonderful nine months. Its been a bumpy ride at times, but its been so worth it. Love you babe.

Trying to save money, the key word is "trying"

Chance got a fifty dollar gift certificate to Outback Stakehouse so we decided to go on a date night last night. We were really excited when we only spent six dollars, just for the tip and we got an appetizer, two meals, and dessert. I was so excited that we had such a cheap dinner. So then we thought we would save money and go to the dollar theatre. When we got there we couldn't decide on a movie that we both wanted to watch, so then we decided to go home. I told him we should check the other dollar movie theatre out by Costco in Orem. He told me there was no dollar theatre there, and I insisted there was, so then we bet five dollars on it. To my disappointment I saw that the old dollar theatre had now turned into a Pirate World or something like that and there was now a new theatre close by. We debated going to see a new movie but then decided we didn't want to spend the money. He told me that instead of five dollars, he wanted to just get one new shirt cuz he felt like he didn't have any clothes. So then we went to Old Navy. He insisted that I buy something for myself too (I didn't resist too much) and to make a long story short we ended up getting alot more than just one shirt. So much for trying to be frugal. We laughed afterwards at the thought that we didn't want to see a movie cuz it was too expensive. But we did vow we would not spend any money on clothes till Christmas. hehe
So other news, school is still extremely busy for me. I have at least 3 maybe 4 15 page papers to write throughout the semester, two hour long discussions to lead, many presentations, a debate, and 90 hours of following a nurse manager. Not to mention I'm working full time. And I start my new job tommorrow so wish me luck! Chance is also working like crazy and taking night classes. Its surprising that we still manage to spend time together. But i guess that means we will never get sick of eachother, at least not yet anyways. :)
